   <li><span itemprop="ingredients">1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced</span></li>

   <li><span itemprop="ingredients">2 tbsp granulated sugar for strawberries</span></li>

   <li><span itemprop="ingredients">1 1/2 cups heavy cream</span></li>

   <li><span itemprop="ingredients">1/4 cup powdered sugar</span></li>

   <li><span itemprop="ingredients">1 tsp vanilla extract</span></li>

   <li><span itemprop="ingredients">Chocolate shavings for garnish</span></li>

  <h3>Instructions:</h3>

     <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Set the oven temperature to 425F 220C</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">When the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, add the cold, cubed butter to it and work it into the dry ingredients with your fingers or a pastry cutter</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and buttermilk and stir until dough comes together</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">After transferring the dough to a surface dusted with flour, give it a few gentle kneads until it comes together</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Using a biscuit cutter, cut the dough into 68 shortcakes after rolling it out to a thickness of about 1 inch</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">The shortcakes should be baked for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown, on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">In a bowl, mix together sliced strawberries and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar while the shortcakes bake</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Let them macerate after tossing to coat</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract together in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">After the shortcakes are baked and have cooled a little, cut them in half lengthwise</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">To assemble, put a dollop of whipped cream and a spoonful of macerated strawberries on the bottom half of each shortcake</span></p>

   <p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Add more whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and the remaining half of the shortcake on top</span></p>
