<p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Brown sugar, maple syrup, black pepper, and cayenne if using should all be combined in a bowl</span></p>
<p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">To make a thick paste, thoroughly mix</span></p>
<p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Coat every bacon strip liberally with the brown sugar mixture, making sure to cover both sides equally</span></p>
<p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Leaving some space between each strip, arrange the coated bacon strips on the wire rack that has been prepared</span></p>
<p><span itemprop="recipeInstructions">Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the sugar has caramelized and the bacon is crispy</span></p>
